I welcome you to the Website of Magherafelt Parish, Co. Derry, in the Archdiocese of Armagh. We hope you find our site informative and interesting, if you have any suggestions or comments please feel free to visit our guest book.

The Season of Lent has now begun for daily Mass times during click here

New features on our website are the addition of our parish graveyard where burials and individual graves can be accessed on-line. A new noticeboard of the names and graves has been erected in St John’s Milltown. Any new details please contact Fr Gates. To visit the graveyard click here.

We have also added a Prayer Request section to our site where people can submit requests for prayer, confidentially, these will be printed each day and given to the priest who is celebrating Mass and will be included by him, privately, in the prayers of the Mass. All that will be displayed on our site is the number of requests made. Each request will receive an e-mail informing them that their request will be included in prayer and at Masses that day. Please note Anniversaries should be submitted to the Parish Office in the usual way for inclusion in the parish bulletin.

Our current Parish Pastoral Council will hold its final meeting next month (March), I wish to thank them for the great work they have done. Their achievements have been many and varied. A special brochure will be available at all Masses next weekend detailing the achievements of the current Pastoral Council and inviting parishioners to be part of the next Pastoral Council which will run from 2013-2016. Training will be provided for potential new members for details click here.

If anyone would like to help with the upkeep and updating of our website, please contact me on 028-79632439.
